I got my truck fixed

Then it died again

I couldn't pay my rent

So I moved in with my woman

I still buy I fifth a night

I'll smoke my grass until I die

My woman wants a baby

So I went and bought a Chevy

454 big block

AMERICAN

MAN

That's when I got stuck

With no pick up truck

To pull me out of this mess

When I look above

And say Jesus can

But Jesus hates me man

So I say f*** this I'm doin' it my way

Even if I gotta pay

For the poor man livin'

The broken hearted women

I'm just here to party

I'M AMERICAN MAN

I got sandpaper hands

Every friday at five

I trade my tools for a tie

Steppin' out like George Clooney

All the girls say do me

I'm AMERICAN MAN

Drink my beer from a can

It don't mean nothin' to me

Even if ya see through me

I'M AMERICAN MAN YES I AM

City folks

You can keep those lights

Doesn't get better

Than a small town vibe

LIght up the woods

With a big bonfire

Smell of good gasoline

Burnin' up the sweet pine

Where I'm from ya drink and drive

But I learned my lesson now I smoke and fly

I'm a sucker for a cutie with a booty

In a tight white t-shirt looking like the

Daughter of a preacher

911... whats your emergency

A little stuck

With no pick up truck

To pull me out of this mess

When I look above

And say Jesus can

But Jesus hates me man

So I say f*** this I'm doin' it my way

Even if I gotta pay

For the poor man livin'

The broken hearted women

I'm just here to party

I'M AMERICAN MAN

I got sandpaper hands

Every friday at five

I trade my tools for a tie

Steppin' out like George Clooney

All the girls say do me

I'm AMERICAN MAN

Drink my beer from a can

It don't mean nothin' to me

Even if ya see through me

I'M AMERICAN MAN YES I AM
